We already had a poll voting on the songs where Al was the jerk in a relationship, so I thought it'd be fun to do the reverse, and vote on which of the many women Al's dated in his songs is the biggest jerk. To keep things simple, I restricted the options to songs about relationships (current or former) where the woman is explicitly made to be the villain of the narrative. I'm sure it's not a perfect list, so I added an "other" option for anyone not satisfied with any of my chosen songs.
I voted for what I think is the obvious choice: the gal from "You Don't Love Me Anymore". Yikes.

Yeah, the YDLMA girl seems like the front runner.
I feel like the guy is the jerk in "I'm So Sick of You" though. Sure, the girl may have some annoying habits and disgusting hygiene, but the guy is so negative and pedantic that it's hard not to think that he's part of the problem.

"You don't love me anymore" without a doubt, she's an obvious psychopath.

I dunno. "Since You've Been Gone" leaves it totally up to the imagination.mellow weasel wrote:"You don't love me anymore" without a doubt, she's an obvious psychopath.

I feel One More Minute isn't a proper contender.
I argue that One More Minute's narrator's break up isn't elaborated on enough to know whether someone was to blame for a relationship not working out.. I won't focus on the real life inspiration behind the lyrics however as Al's songs are rarely ever truly self biographical and perhaps because the real life relationship and why it ended isn't really my business .
So tangest aside... we only know that the relationship didn't work out.
"Decided that I'm not your kind" and "found somebody new."
The rest of the song is just the emphasis on the narrator needing space.
Sure it's important for the narrator to allow himself to be mad at her which is healthy and cathartic if in small doses but if anything he's the one doing alarming stuff like burning down a malt shop.
Edit: Also I vote for Tonya Harding from Headline News verse 3.

Verse 3? Don't you mean Lorena Bobbitt? I wholeheartedly agree, though.CB Johnny wrote:Also I vote for Tonya Harding from Headline News verse 3.
