Re: Midnight Star
I recently read 'Weird Al: The Book' and I don't remember the part about him wanting 'Midnight Star' to be the lead single. Guess I need to read it again.

Re: Midnight Star
I loooove this song to death. Personally, In-3D is my favorite ALbum as well. When Al asked for original song suggestions on twitter before the Mandatory Fun Tour I had suggested Midnight Star. Has Al sung this song at all since his "Tour Of The Universe in 3-D Tour" in 1984? Like ever?

Re: Midnight Star
I just reread that part on Saturday. It said he briefly considered having Midnight Star as the lead single then he quickly came to his senses and went with Eat It. Midnight Star is still a great song. Still a worthy #2 single. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.Muldernscully wrote:I have that as well. Re: Midnight Star
Yeah maybe he sings it in the shower. I do. I bet they have done it in rehearsals some time in the last 10 years or so, and maybe it just doesn't go over well enough to be done live. Maybe Dave can ask Al for us, he is a close personal friend of his. Hey Dave! Ask Al for us, when was the last time he sang or tried to do Midnight Star with the guys. I guess Dave would have to care about the answer to ask the question though, just an idea.

Good song! I love how upbeat it is and lyrical creativity.
