Yeah, there aren't many Al original instrumentals online but half of his songs are parodies of well known songs so they're pretty easy to find. And if nothing else I can write guitar tabs for the pieces.

Somehow, Kevin was able to rip it on a Mac and loop it. He then added in Al singing the middle section but he vocal removed it so Al sounds like a back up singer and wah-La instant instrumental. I don't think I could have done it, but Kev makes it look easy.

Kev's not the only one who's capable of doing that. Last July, after three months of searching, I found an alternately sequenced instrumental version of Blink 182's "What's My Age Again?" and with aid of the song's original sequence and Cool Edit Pro, I spliced both the instrumental and the original song with the vocals in all the right areas, which took me three hours to do, but at the end I had the instrumental of the song and recorded a three month old parody the next day.

Another instance is when I have a karaoke song I want to use that has a background vocal. If i can loop over the chorused part, I'll have a perfectly good instrumental sans chorus in a few hours.

I have'nt preformed any Al, but 4 years ago, in 5th grade, Star Wasrs episode 1 was real big and RWS just came out. So me and 2 friends did the saga Begins for the lup synch, we dressed as star wars characters, i was Obi wan, and my friends were anikan and Darth Mal. The audience loved it. Kids still talk to me about it now. like "remeber in 5th grade when u did that star wars song?"

any way it was fun.

If theres a lip synch at the high school this year I'll probably do something al, a parody though, so its more familiar. Either Trash Day or Ode to a Superhero. maybe even AWBP

tryin to find accordion lessons some where then maybe i could learn some of his songs.

Ya, I just said that because I like his origionals better, but they aren't as well know as his parodies.

But that fact that its a parody let everyone enjoy it because the parent know the real song, american pie.

I am doing Trash Day for the school talent show. First rehearsal was today, got great reactions.

I'd love to post a recording or video of it, but I don't know how possible that would be.

Good luck, yo!

Well...my school talent show is coming very soon, and I plan to do Ebay. I recorded my "karaoke version" a few days ago, and I'm all ready!

Just make sure to warn them that it is a parody that you're singing, not the real song :P
