Re: The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour
I never did get an email confirming me as being selected, but I did get a code. However, I haven't been able to use it. I get to the linked page - I put my code in - I get to a page showing the Al tickets, but when I click on either option (VIP or regular), I get sent to a page with nothing on it but phone numbers to call for information about tickets. What the what? I purchased tickets to a musical via this venue's website a few weeks ago (not a pre-sale, though) without a hitch. Go figure. And this is the one I really cared about going to most (the only one I was going to VIP and take a relative with me).

There's a Javascript error on the evenue.net site that they use to track these (which is loaded as an iframe into at least our venue site).
I'm 99% sure that they didn't escape the double quotes in this:
"YOURCODEHERE - "Weird Al" Yankovic Presale"
Venue says they're aware of the issue and to keep refreshing the page.
WHOIS says that Paciolan is behind that site (and probably the presale), but who knows. They're probably scrambling now.

Re: The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour
I got my code. Clicked the link on my phone. Put the code in. Selected my number of tickets and the section I want, but there's no "ok" or "submit" button there. I'm just stuck on that screen. So I got on my ipad instead. Sometimes websites won't work on the phone but will work on the ipad, or the other way around. The website is broken in a totally different way on the ipad. I click "select by seat" and it takes me to a blank page. I click "select by price" and I get a page with some phone numbers on it. So then I thought maybe I need to be on an actual PC for this garbage website. So I got in the car and drove to the library and here I sit still with no way to get these tickets. The website acts just like it did on the ipad on this PC. Great! What the heck am I gonna do now?

I'm not tech-savvy, but I did try via 3 laptops and 2 browsers (Firefox & Internet Explorer). I don't have a smart phone, and I never use the text feature on my "dumb" phone. I guess for now I'll try checking off and on to see if it will work for me. If not, the website does mention that the VIP goes on sale tomorrow at 10:00 and the regular tickets go on sale on Friday at noon. Maybe if it never works for me today I'll get lucky tomorrow? I dunno.

Yeah, the Javascript on their page has a syntax error and that's breaking the rest of the site.

Forgive my ignorance, but would this JavaScript error be why I'm seeing a little box with an X in it or a little box with an image that looks like a ripped piece of paper in it when I try to access the ticket page on the venue site?

Unknown. Probably.
I'm half tempted to try to proxy their site, fix the Javascript on demand, and get the best seats in the house. But I'm also lazy and have real work to do. Decisions, decisions...

I got codes for all of the shows I registered for, but only two of them worked. The Dallas one said the offer was restricted, for whatever reason. That's a bummer, because that's the one I wanted to go to the most.

Got codes for AC and Lancaster. Lancasters site was totally smurfed and it took me 30 minutes plus a phone call to get the ticket. The lady actually answered the phone "American Music Theater, are you calling about Weird Al?"
