Wow. I didn't think this forum would ever die. But when the central focus of the board doesn't release a new album in 6+ years, interest is naturally going to wane.

I think the focus has shifted to three Facebook groups dedicated to Al, where most people are already logged-in throughout their day. Nothing to do with the lack of product, the fans are with Al regardless (as evidenced by the last two successful tours.)

for me, it was simply a matter of everyone else migrating to other areas, like Facebook, as Bermuda pointed out. I'd like to continue here, but I get logged out consistently, and there just isn't enough activity here to warrant me posting in the manner that I used to.

I for one would like to say that 2021 has been a great year so far to be a Weird Al fan, especially if you enjoy listening to his live concerts. The first COMPLETE Deep End Tour bootleg finally leaked (and it only took 29 years) as well as some video footage of multiple Polka Party shows, as well as some REALLY early stuff. Plus some really excellent Weird Al podcasts!

Sad to see that there's next to no activity on this forum anymore. I'm a bit wary of FB fan groups, especially with the way that the one of another accordion-based band is insanely over-moderated, so I haven't made the plunge there yet.....

It's kinda sad that this universal hub for all Al fans isn't as booming as it used to be. A lot of the older posts on here are so interesting to go through.

Seeing that many from this forum have migrated to Facebook, that kind of creates a divide from younger generations of fans (such as I). I do frequent the unofficial subreddit sometimes though

Hey guys, it's been a long time since I've posted here! How is everyone? As for me, I've been relistening to all 77 shows of the Vanity Tour, currently on show 14.. had an absolute blast listening to Dave and Ethans 4 part interview with Al.. also I just celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary! How are all of you?
