You wouldn't know this at first glance at the show but it actually has some well thought out humor in it. It's not just another dumb cartoon that comes and goes. It's really good.
Al would fit in perfectly with some of those characters. What's the episode called that Al is in?

Sorry in advance about the length of this post, gang, but it had to be documented.
Let me first say that I am a huge animation fan and always have been. I am also a big fan of the trend towards more intelligent and more unique [even bizarre?] cartoons, such as "The Simpsons", "The Critic", "Family Guy", all of Adult Swim, and classics like "Rocky and Bullwinkle", Warner Brothers, Tex Avery, and "Ren & Stimpy".
Having said that, I am always excited when two of my favs collide -- Al and animation -- as they did on "Eek! The Cat", "The Brak Show", "The Simpsons", and "Lilo and Stitch" [among others]. Like the rest of you, I'm always looking forward to Al's next project.
So, when I read here about Al appearing on such a cleverly written cartoon on Nickelodeon such as "Fairly Oddparents", I was initially rather excited, to say the least. But I wondered why we hadn't heard of it before. So I began a little investigation. But I wasn't pleased with the results.
According to this FOP website, the character's name is "Goose Goose"; the episode he is in is reportedly entitled "No Rules". Al is also listed here as providing the voice of some character called "Giant" in that episode. So, the question was: had this episode already been broadcast, or is it shot and just awaiting broadcast?
This site lists a show with two episodes called "House of Revenge / No Rules", which is listed as Episode 29 or 3-4 -- meaning the fourth show broadcast during the third season. However, other sites list 3-4 as entitled "Most Wanted Wish / This is Your Wish" [broadcast 02-May-2003], though it is listed as Episode 30 -- Episode 29 is oddly missing ....
The same site that lists Al as being in the "No Rules" episode also has him listed as providing the voice of "Ed (Singing)" in an episode entitled "Truck Drivin' Ed" in something called "Ed, Edd, N' Eddy Adult Party Cartoon". Now, "Ed, Edd, & Eddy" is indeed a real Cartoon Network animated series ... but as an "Adult Party Cartoon"??
Gang, there IS NO "Ed, Edd, N' Eddy Adult Party Cartoon". It doesn't exist. I've searched the net. It's totally bogus. So is a EE&E episode called "Truck Drivin' Ed" -- no episodes exist with that name. Besides, Cartoon Network's latenight lineup is called "Adult Swim", which is where Al's legitimate appearances on "Space Ghost" and "The Brak Show" were broadcast.
Want proof this site is full of bad info? Read on that same site who else has appeared on this "Ed, Edd, N' Eddy Adult Party Cartoon" show:Tim Conway as "Barnacle Boy"? Come on. That's from "SpongeBob Squarepants", a Nick show -- not "Ed, Edd, & Eddy".Roger Jackson as "Chuck Finster"? Chuckie Finster is a character on "Rugrats". Why would a Nickelodeon show character appear on a Cartoon Network show?? Besides, Christine Cavanaugh provides the voice of Chuckie.Dan Castellaneta as "Abraham Simpson "?? Of course, Dan is indeed the voice of Abraham "Grandpa" Simpson on the Simpsons -- but WHY would he be appearing on "Ed, Edd, and Eddy"??
-- and the best one yet --Academy Award-winning actor Jeremy Irons as "Osama bin Ladin" in the episode "Ed in a Nutshell" [another non-existent EE&E episode title] -- now, honestly, does this even really NEED a comment???I've searched everywhere I can for information on this "Goose Goose" character or an episode called "No Rules" -- and found nothing with any substance. No other sites mention such a character name [and face it -- what kind of name is "Goose Goose" anyway?!?] -- and, most tellingly, no other site mentions a "No Rules" episode either already aired -- or completed and poised for broadcast. The only sites found in multiple searches that mention it are voices.fuzzy.com and tvtome.com, plus the single mention on www.fairlyoddparents.net [note Goose Goose is not mentioned ANYWHERE else on the www.fairlyoddparents.net site].
So why is this all misinformation listed on the net anyway??
All this confusion is all due to the site called "TV Tome" which lists Al's so-called television credits, and includes multiple errors. For instance, Al was never on Animal Network's "Pet Star" series, as is listed on TV Tome. Nor was he on the just-broadcast-on-Valentines-Day 14-Feb-04 episode of "Rugrats: All Grown Up" entitled "It's Cupid, Stupid". Don't you think if Al HAD been on "Rugrats", Bermuda would have listed it prominently at the Mothership? I mean, we knew Al would be on the "Lilo And Stitch" TV series almost nine months before it actually aired!
TV Tome, and many other similar sites, are maintained by fans -- not the studios or networks. The results thus may not be always reliable -- and sometimes not at all. And yet for some reason, many other websites use it as a reference tool. I've mentioned inaccuracies about Al in TV Tome on this forum once before when it claimed Al was in a FOP episode called "That's Life" playing the voice of "Eddie The Gerbil" [who did nothing but groan in the episode]. I taped that episode and reviewed the credits myself; Eddie was actually played by frequent FOP voice talent Carlos Alazraqui. I have NO idea where these people get their "facts" from.
So, I hear you ask, "You mean, it's not real?? There's no FOP episode with Al??"
Wellllll ... there is a best case scenario ... but it's kind of a stretch. The episode #29 allegedly entitled "House of Revenge / No Rules" could have been shot but never aired for some reason. Such things do happen occasionally. However, cartoon episodes generally have their voice work done months in advance to allow time for creating animation to the voices, and broadcasting changes are often made last minute. Had Al done this episode, it would have been well over a year ago [based on air dates of Episodes 28 & 30]. However, nowhere on the Mothership is a voice credit on "Fairly Oddparents" by Al mentioned -- and yet we knew of "Lilo & Stitch" before it aired.
My gut tells me this isn't going to happen; that it's one of those unsubstantiated internet rumors. I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like it. This could be an "Ask Al" Q -- if Al ever revives it again. Maybe someday ....
Lesson learned, though -- always visit weirdal.com for the latest and most accurate info on Al.
Sorry to burst the bubble, gang .....

So I think Al will appear in an episode of FOP in the U.S. soon.

I think what Dr. Dad was saying was that even the site you found that on might have used TV Tome as a reference site for their info.

It's a shame Al really didn't do a voice for a character on The Fairly Odd Parents. I really like that show.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

That stinks! TV Tome is a completely ludicrous site! Did you notice that the thing that CF posted from TV Tome listed Bela as one of the cast members? And this was supposedly from 1983?! I wish Al really would do a voice for the Fairly Oddparents. It would rock!
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.
