I think it was a work of unrivalled genius, with the nuances of metaphysical alteration too great for a mind like mine, IQ of 150 and all, to comprehend fully in this lifetime. Witness the subtle alteration of "a box under the stairs in the corner of the basement of the house half a block down the street from..." to "a box under the stairs in the corner half a block down the street from..."
This subtle wordsmithing implies that the corner is in something, presumably a house, and that that house is half a block down the street from Jerry's Bait Shop. Later, the artist, and I use that term in every sense of the word, says, "...get out of that basement..", thus proving that the box is in the corner of a basement! Thus the artist shows Al's point in many fewer words than Al did. This man is clearly a genius, and once again I use that in every sense of the word.

The master strikes again! This one's even better than the last one. See, the "slow" voice that he uses implies that Al's character is "slow", an attribute which aptly applies to someone who would take a sarcastic remark literally, such as "No, I want you to cut off my arms and legs with a chainsaw". The voice also refers back to the song "Gump" on BHD, which is about a mentally challenged person. This man clearly understands Al's obsession with the mentally challenged and pays loving tribute to it. This voice is just the touch of genius the video needed to make it a classic.
Now, let us examine some more of the subtle alterations the man uses in his "special" version of the ballad. Although he discards the modification of "life was just fine" for the original "life was going fine", he makes some interesting alterations nonetheless, e.g., his continued omission of the words "of the house". This makes the song far more concise, and since basements rarely exist as separate entities, the house is once again implied. Notice also his correction of "'til" with "until", and his brilliant enunciation--or lack thereof--of the chorus as opposed to the more banal method of singing it in key.
Five sta-ars and three thu-umbs u-up.
PS: The reason I never mention the screw-ups at the end of the video is I can't sit through the whole thing.
