I wonder if Zelda is getting any sort of child support for Nathaniel and Superfly?
Calls into child support:
"Hello, how can we help you?"
"Hi, my name is Zelda"
"Uh huh"
"And my husband just divorced me and I now have 2 kids, I need lots of money, please"
"Um...what are the names?"
"Nathaniel and Superfly"
"Suuuuuuure" *Click*

The absolute bluntness of the song is just adds to the hilarity.
But my favorite blunt quote has to be this:
"Hey.. you got weasles on your face"

In the part where Al says "Where was I" " I've lost my train of thought"...did that really happened and he left it there?? You know like a blooper??

I guess it's possible, but it's very unlikely. The music was recorded before the vocals, and it's pretty well timed. If that part was unintentional and Al just recorded the lyrics "as normal" without that line, then there would end up being an empty bar or two of just music before the "I hate sauerkraut" line.
Of course, it's possible that Al listened to the music track, noticed an extra space, and thought "I should put something there," but I doubt it. Al is usually too meticulous of a writer and producer to let something like that happen without him knowing about it beforehand.
There is an old saying that nothing in comedy is accidental, so while that line does seem like a natural pause, it was most likely planned all along.

It sounds to me like just the kind of joke Al would include -- it ties the beginning back in nicely and is funny in itself.

Coming from AL anything's possible...but it's pure greatness anyways

Maybe he lost his train of thought when he was writing it and decided to include it in the song.

What I thought was that while recording it HE really lost his train of thought...I mean you can't rehearse that or think about it beforehand.

That could very well be. Or, and this would be pretty funny, he could have thought "I want to write a really long narrative in a song and then talk about how I've lost my train of thought."
