I actually hope he makes more, because it ends with a lot of stuff not wrapped up. (It ends on one big cliffhanger anyway.)

What makes it funny is not intentional.

It's an unintentionally bad piece of work. So bad that it's downright hilarious.

Yeah, you should check out videos which include the R. Kelly commentary (I think these were also on YouTube). He comes off so self-important and congratulatory about this great work. I think in Chapter 6 he finally mentions that he purposefully injected some comedy into the otherwise compelling story to "break the tension". This is around the time the midget shows up.

Okie-dokie.

So bad it's good.

You know what? Screw the idea of a possible Canadian Idiot video. I want Al to make a video of THIS.

I just demand a continuation! I mean, R. Kelly hinted that there may be 20 more chapters yet to see...

ME WANTEE!

Could this be the only time in Al history when the original is just as funny as the parody?

(Well, One Week is kind of funny . . .)

I'm surprised more of you hadn't seen/heard these videos. I believe the story goes like this...

R Kelly released Part One on iTunes, r&b radio, and MTV/VH1. There was such a demand, both ironic and unironic, merited the recording and release of the next two chapters. After this, last year at the VMAs, R Kelly "performed" the pantomine of the summation of the first three videos and then world premiered part four, announcing that 4 and 5 would shortly come out together and there would be a total of 12 made. I believe there are 8 more chapters in the works, totalling 20 but I could be mistaken. I believe R Kelly was trying to tell an R&B story in music form. There are definitely parts that are intentionally funny (I hope), but as far as I can tell a great deal of the humor is not intentional. Who knows how great this song is going to be, but you've gotta admit, this is definitely a case where knowing the original makes the joke funnier. I think there is probably plenty of opportunity for a video parody if Al for some reason did decide to make a third single for this album.
I'd definitely recommend listening to Usher's Confessions pt 2 for the same reason if you haven't already. I got it on iTunes when I saw the tracklisting.

Yeah, "Confessions" is almost like a good, more succinct version of TitC. Still, I like TitC better. It's like the musical equivalent to "Snakes on a Plane."
