I liked the song in the first place, but after seeing it live, it made me love the song.

Al singing in a sleazy seductive voice while making penis jokes is NOT my cup of tea! Definitely the LOW point of the new CD!
I'm not sure if I agree with the subject matter you post, but I agree that it is PH's low point. I think it's very flat and just goes nowhere. Party at the Leper Colony is 27,000,000 times better!

I simply fell in love with the song once seeing it performed live. I think it is one of those to truly appreciate it, you have to see it live.

At first, I really didn't enjoy WBUL. When my dad heard it, though, he couldn't get enough of it. Soon, I began to really enjoy it. Seeing it done live also helped me appreciate it more (not in an Al-Gal way).
I disagree strongly with Picklenose and GIM. I think WBUL is an incredible piece of lyrical and musical art. I personally think GIF is the one song that Al didn't seem too strong on (along with WDTAHTM?).
I'm going a little off-topic here, so forgive me. Did it seem like Al was trying to rerun some of techniques used on RWS? He used a classic song and based the lyrics on a recent hit movie, and made a +10 minute song at the end of the ALbum. He basically did that on RWS, and I feel did it better on RWS than on PH. But that's jUst my opinion.

No one's dissing WBUL, per say. It's just that when PH first came out, many people didn't find the song too apealing (including myself). After several months of getting used to WBUL, and seeing it done live, the song has grown on me. I think the same can be said for many fans here.
