I'm with you, HYEI. Love it!

I love the making of video. Wonderful. Nice to see everyone, and the process of how the songs get put together. Al looked wonderful. Drool city for us gals. Yay for Steve playng the flute! *I play the flute, so that part was cool for me* Seeing Nina at the end was a nice surprise. After watching it for the third time just a few minutes ago, seeing Nina standing there made me think of Laura at that age. She had the same dark hair, cut short. I almost cried, but I was ok. I'm sure glad Al has Nina.

The videos:

Don't Download This Song ~ I like it. It's different, and not my very favorite, but I can appreciate the work put into it.

Close But No Cigar ~ Some things in this video are a bit odd, but I like it ok.

Weasel Stomping Day ~ A twisted, sick video for a twisted, sick song. I love it!

Pancreas ~ Uh, yeah...

I'll Sue Ya ~ After Marshall told me upon hearing this song that it sounded like Rage Against the Machine, seeing the video clinched it. I like this one the best.

Virus Alert ~ I like this one, too.

I'm really glad Al did this.

I got it on the way home from honor choir, as promised, and LOVE it... I'll do a review tomorrow, though. (I love Virus Alert. Hehehe.)

I'm not! :x:

I hope he changes the line when he plays PNC. That is, if he wants to get out of Jersey alive. :P

See the first post in this topic for my song by song review. I will post a review on the other aspects of the album probably later today, but be warned, it's gonna be very positive. I absolutely love this album. ^_^

Akrovak's SOL Review

You've been waiting for it (not) ... you've been expecting it (reluctantly) ... and you've been anticipating it (with dread!).

White And Nerdy: Great! 10/10

Pancreas: Tedious! 2/10

Canadian Idol: Predictable! 4/10

I'll Sue Ya: Ben! 8/10

Polkarama!: Blah! 4/10

Virus Alert: StinkyCheese! 8/10

Confessions Part 3: Uninspired! 6/10

Weasle Stomping Day: CRUNCH! 10/10

Close But No Cigar: Yep,notevenclose! 5/10

Do I Creep You Out?: Notnearlyenough! 4/10

Trapped In The Drive Thru: GOLD! 10/10

Don't Download This Song: GladIDidn't! 3/10

Three 10/10's outta twelve? Not bad at all. And I am sure the whole thing will grow on me with time. Certainly a keeper.

I have to admit I am a little disappointed overall, but I also admit that this is the first day I've had it (and heard any of the songs) ... I DO know that it rocks when I am driving, and I LOVE the WaN video when I saw it on his myspace this afternoon.

Special DVD Features?

The only one I liked was the documentary / behind the scenes things. The rest of the "videos"? They added no value to the songs at all, and in a couple instances, actually took away from them (for those of you debating 'Bob' ... yeah, now that was a video). I am hoping for a second live video from the album (Trapped maybe?).

Overall? Probably about a 6 out of 10 ... guess my expectations were too high.

But .... that is with a major caveat .... I am SURE it will grow on me with time! And the ones that hit? they REALLY HIT HARD AND WITH PURPOSE! :Y

I was wondering about that. Whether or not he changes the line, and he does do this song in concert (and I have a strong feeling that he will), it will certainly be an interesting moment. |)

I was going through the karaoke stuff yesterday and at one pointhad to pause... then proceeded to bust out laughing when I realized the unfortunate juxtaposition of picture and subtitle that I had captured: here

 That's funny.

I liked how playing the songs in order on the DVD side, you get a slide slow of Al growing up.

I don't think he'll change the New Jersey line. You know he says it with love. That's Elvis' home state, after all. Maybe it's a shout-out. And Al's the guy who changed Alabama to a local geographical designation when he performed "Complicated Song" in Australia, after all.
