I see it as a clever commentary on how people who like this song (and others) don't actually know what it's about. Like he's revealing it to them and then making it really uncomfortable through the cartoonish sounds. It's a reflection of how uncomfortable it is when a song like that is a pop hit and people are dancing to it and don't even care what it's about.
