World of Weird Al Yankovic

I was a little spectacle about this cause I really don't like Iggy Azalea's Fancy, but this is a really great parody. Weird Al has a way to bring out the great in terrible songs like Party in the USA and I Want It That Way. Plus this song reminds me a lot of the Plumbing Song which is one of my favorites from Off the Deep End.

Eddie Pepitone is the only cameo for "Handy" listed on the Mothership in the cameo section, so either it's a small-budget production with just the two of them, or there will be a lot of unnamed extras.

I agree with what looks like the consensus: it's good, not great. Some pretty funny lines (especially the 99 problems one) but overall I'm hoping the video brings the funny in a big way.

Omg! Yes, the song does remind me of the plumbing song too. I am glad that I am not the only one who thought of this. Oh and I am not a Dan of the original either, parody however is golden.

So Emo Philips is supposed to cameo in a video right? I think it would be perfect if he appeared in Handy working on a table saw.

I mentioned that a few days ago, Emo reprising his UHF role. But he isn't listed on weirdal.com under cameo appearances, while Eddie Pepitone is. So there must be some other reason he was thanked in the liner notes.

What do we think the odds are that this is the Thursday video? Seems he's hitting all the parodies first. I'm honestly surprised he's held on to this one this long, considering that Fancy is still as big as it is.

My guess is he'll either release it tomorrow, or hold onto it and release it on Monday to try and go out with a bang.

Also I think it depends on what song he's planning on performing on Conan tomorrow night. If it's "Handy", that would be all the more reason to premiere the vid tomorrow AM.

That's a good point. I was surprised that he started with three straight parodies first, but I guess that makes sense since that's what non-superfans want and the whole point is to get those people to buy the album. Also, the count for first week album sales ends on Sunday, so it wouldn't make sense for him to hold it for last. It wouldn't surprise me if "Sports Song" is last now because of the leak, even if it wasn't originally supposed to be.
