I'm sure Al didn't even bother trying to deal with Disney's lawyers.

I agree. He could have squeezed in at least two more songs. Not necessarily from those movies, but just in general.just2good wrote:babadavis1 wrote:I think too much time was spent on the opening and closing songs. I would have liked to have hear 'Let It Go' or 'Everything is Awesome,' The latter would have fit in right at the 3:12 mark. OTOH, I think the transitions between songs are the best they've been on any polka medley.
No, Patton said that too. I remember him Tweeting it. It was in the comments on the original Tweet about the album I believe.eleventhirtyfour wrote:Actually, I think Patton Oswalt said that they did a style-parody of a band he's worshiped since the 90s and didn't mention the polka medley. I believe it was Bermuda that said that.
"Everything is Awesome" is the song from the "Lego Movie." It's also about the most annoying song I've ever heard (and that includes "Friday.") I agree that would have sounded good in there at that spot, but it would have been horribly out of place on a medley of pop songs. I could have seen "Let It Go" in there, but there would be too many legal complications I think.minnick27 wrote:I dont know the second song, but i will continue to sing the Drew Carey Show theme song whenever it comes up
Let It Go reached #1 in some countries, and #5 in the US.spmahn wrote:Neither Let it Go or Everything is Awesome were particularly big chart toppers, I doubt Al would have given either of them even a first thought let alone a second though.
