I was just looking up Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant (because they're both nobodies like that Matt Walsh guy). Apparently they both starred on Reno 911. I've never seen that show. Is it possible they might be playing their characters from the show, and if so, how would that relate to "Foil?"

Tom Lennon and Ben Garant are comedy writing partners. Reno 911 is just one of their many projects. They've both worked with Al before, and Tom Lennon is featured in the "Al's Brain" film.

I knew this would be a food related song, but the part about using the foil as a hat made me laugh

Lennon and Garant were also part of The State, a pretty fantastic sketch comedy troupe that had a show on MTV for a while in the 90s. Other State cast members you'd probably recognize if you saw them: Michael Ian Black, Joe Lo Truglio (currently hilarious on Brooklyn Nine Nine), Ken Marino and maybe David Wain and Michael Showalter.

I love how we got the best of both worlds with this song: food song and conspiracy, tinfoil-hat song. Many of us predicted it would be about one or the other from the title, and it's great to get both - and the completely random subject change halfway through just makes it even funnier.

JNN can exclusively report that Comedy Bang Bang host Scott Aukerman picked Foil as his favorite parody on the album.

We seem to be running a little late this morning. Hopefully it's released soon.
