Like it really matters if we can find the track listing anyway. His originals are properly titled... but as of late, his parodies are becoming more and more convoluted as so you can't even guess what it is a parody of... once again, leaving us aloof.

(ie: Couch Potato, Ode to a Superhero, The Saga Begins... blah blah blah blah blah)

That's very true, but I think a leaked track list is lately more of a sign of relief, a sign that the album is definitely coming out and nothing's going to get in the way. And of course, once it's announced who will be parodied, I suppose it's fun to try to guess, even if blindly, at which songs are in fact the parodies and what they're based on.

Don't feel like reading through 30 pages of posts to double check if it was already officially confirmed, but I spoke to animator Bill Plympton at an animation festival last week and asked him about the video he did for the new album and he told me that he indeed animated a video for "Don't download this song" which is a parody of "We are the world". He also said that there were some troubles with the record company and that last he heard it was kinda uncertain that it would be released. He also told me that he was quite proud of the video and thought it was one of his best works to date.

Just thought I'd share. Don't shoot me if it's old news :P

Wow! Two complete songs from the same album, both facing legal problems? I hope things work out with this one!

Thanks for the info, Kenny!

I don't think we really know WHICH song is causing hte hold up--I did not read that comment to mean that the song in question was the root of the trouble, just that there WAS trouble.

Yeah, exactly. Bill (yeah, I can call him Bill :P) just said there were some troubles with the record company but he didn't say it was about "Don't Download This Song". So it might have been about You're Pitiful. Bill was just a bit bummed that he wasn't able to show the video to anyone yet. I asked him, but he wouldn't...
