Take it from a musician, the band re-recorded it. I can tell right off the bat that it wasn't the original. First, Jon's hi hat's were open, where as John Bohnam kept his more closed. Jim didn't triple track his guitar like Jimmy Page did, and the sound on it is more like they stuck a mic in the middle of the room and recorded all the instruments that way. Not to say it's a bad thing, cuz it sounds awesome, but it is definitely not the original version.

Al confirmed it was rerecorded in an interview with Rolling Stone

I hope they did record it that way where they just stuck a mic in the middle of the room and recorded it that way. It gave a nice ambience to it, room bleed, so to speak. It just sounds great.

An idea about this song live (this is just speculation, but it's in spoilers so that people who haven't heard it won't be spoiled):
SPOILER During the radio part, it would be funny if he actually had a radio on the stage and like... turned it on at that part.

Ahem... can you say... "They Might Be Giants"?

Al probably won't do that. :)

I'm not even done with the whole song yet and it's the best Weird Al song I've ever heard. Absolute classic.

This parody was possibly Al's most creative and most dead-on satire of the original ever.
Very very very impressed, Al. And the Zep cover was an awesome touch.
