Die out is perhaps a little harsh, the lead singer quit, so Chris Cornell of Soundgarden (Their Black Hole Sun is part of Alternative Polka on Bad Hair Day)joined and the new band is called Audioslave

I've read through this thread, people discussing the inspiration for this song. A few people have mentioned some of the correct songs by RATM, but FYI... the chorus "Sue, sue, yeah I'm gonna sue" is a direct lift from Rage's "Bombtrack" (where the words are "Burn, burn, yes you're gonna burn"). Also, the main guitar line during the verses is a slight variation from "Bulls on Parade." Additionally the laughing toward the end is taken from a lesser known song of theirs, "Mic Check," although that could be more of a coincidence. And, the bridge of the song is very simliar to the bridge in "Guerilla Radio." I'm a Rage/Audioslave/Tom Morello junkie, and this is an awesome style parody. They even got Tom's guitar tone almost right. The moments that aren't lifted from other songs are perfect in capturing the overall mood of Tom's normal riffs. Well done, Al.

And since this is my first post, I'll say that it's nice to be here. I've been an Al fan for nearly 12 years and I'm only 20. I remember owning Alapalooza on cassette. Heh. I saw him live in '99 and it was awesome, I hope to see him again sometime.

Thanks, tornscarecrow! I know a few of the songs you mentioned. I'm not as big a fan as you are, but I know RATM's style, and Al did do an excellent job. This is quite possibly Al's rockingest song ever! I love it!

I think it's safe to say that the subject of this song will still be current for a while yet. A New Jersey appellate court just reversed a trial court that awarded $179,000 to a college student because the loft bed he fell out of didn't have a warning label telling him that falling out of a loft bed could be dangerous.

I don't know why anyone would sue Ben Affleck. He's pretty cool.

Yeah, when I heard this song, I talked to my friends on the phone about some memorable stupid lawsuits we heard about. It'll be topical for a while.

Celebrities are easy targets for lawsuits.
