He had no choice. WTF with Heds anyway??

Either way, I wonder if we will be split into individuals next time? Oh, well, off to finish my housework and then relax!

Neither team's convention proposal was entirely excellent, but I would have picked Team Groovy. If you put both proposals together, you get a good start to something.
Pobeda wants to start the day at 9am and end at 6pm??????

Sorry, but that's completely insane. A year of planning and fundraising for that??? No thanks. Team Groovy's schedule was much more like an actual convention and not just a silly get together where Al might show up like Pobeda's was. Team Groovy also said they would use IndieGogo to fundraise which is a much better idea than Kickstarter. Team Pobeda stole art from deviantart without permission for their ad campaign. At the very least, Team Groovy's ad was their original work.
Stupid Fest is a terrible name. Come on.
I think it's safe to say that I do not agree with this decision at all.

That's pretty much the same conclusion I came to, even though I clearly chose a different team than you would have.

These are all valid points that I did consider when rendering my judgement, but the flaws I outlined in Groovy's plan (specifically the likelihood that it was realistically attainable, which was one of the critical criteria of the challenge) outweighted these. Groovy's not getting a 1-hour Al show as the centerpiece of their con--it's just not happening. If they had gone a different direction there, the rest of their itinerary may have been strong enough to sway the tide.
I started writing a whole paragraph knicking Pobeda for the 9am start time when I was talking about their schedule needing some adjustment, but it hit the cutting room floor in my head because I was getting lengthy and it honestly wouldn't have changed the outcome.
Team Groovy also said they would use IndieGogo to fundraise which is a much better idea than Kickstarter. Team Pobeda stole art from deviantart without permission for their ad campaign. At the very least, Team Groovy's ad was their original work.
I can't speak to the accusation of theft, and I wasn't aware of it at the time of judging. At the same time, if I was Team Groovy and had to craft a poster with no artwork (or actual art skills) available, I would have gone with a more typography-driven approach as opposed to MS Paint.
ETA: Come to think of it, even if I had been aware, it's not unheard of to source material in that way for a proposal vs. actually going live with someone else's material in your marketing campaign, so it still wouldn't have made much of a difference to me.
Stupid Fest is a terrible name. Come on.
Neither name was great, as I mentioned. Theirs was at least original.
I think it's safe to say that I do not agree with this decision at all.
And I think it's safe to say that I could really go for some pizza right now!

Our proposal had flaws. but it would take several thousands of dollars for Groovy's. Tens of thousands if you want Al and the band performing. How many people showed up for Alfest? Does anyone think there would be enough people to pay 10's of thousands to get Al to play? I think not.

Look, this is proof that I wasn't the only one who thought your convention ended after a final, small event at 6. If it didn't, you should have made your schedule more clear.
