Cassettes have too much hiss! Why would they do that? They should sooner release it on phonograph cylinder!

crazygurl14 -

I know how you feel about your father being down on Al's stuff - my dear, sweetie-pumpkin hubby is the same way (Although I must say he did admit that WaN wasn't half bad!), so you have to learn that since you won't be able to change their opinions, just your reaction to it. Don't let their negative attitude become your negative attitude.

Your father sounds like my hubby who complains about things so much he doesn't even realize he's complaining. I've heard it has something to do with the chemical changes in the male brain as it gets older, but who knows.

Don't turn your back on things that make you happy just because they don't make someone else happy. You're on the right track with Al! I promise! And we'll always be here for you!

I wish, just for the sake of having it, like you said Allison...but who knows...honestly, at this point, it's probably a toss-up, but due to this overwhelming response for SOL on CD..who can tell?! :D

I doubt that this will be released on cassette. It's just really not a viable format anymore. Most record stores don't even stock them, and I would imagine that very few buy them. To me, cassettes don't really have that collector's appeal that vinyl has, either.

I doubt it too, Kev, but I didn't want to crush Allie's spirit completely, not on this happiest of happy days...:D

Most record stores don't stock them, but for some reason my mums car has a cassette player instead of a CD player.

I prefer vinyl to cassette, but I don't own any of my own vinyls. My brother still needs to teach me how to handle them and play them.

Slightly off topic, but anyway.

I have a question about the liner notes, and didn't think it needed it's own topic, so here goes...

In the credits, it says that the car is a 1977 Impala, but in Ask Al, Al says it's a '67. Does anyone here know about cars to tell the difference, or am I just reading the date wrong somewhere?
