I truly appreciate your interest in this and I'd really, really would have loved for you guys to hear it (who else would appreciate it like you do?), but I just don't have the know-how or the technology.

If I was able to record it on cassette, how would I get it in to MP3 format? I mean, this is just way, way, way over my head.

I am a totally un-hip 30-something white chick. I am still befuddled by VCRs. SORRY!

It's ko (ok). Anyway, I can randomly say half of the Albuquerque song/story. I love to do that. It annoys everyone in my family though. :sly:

I think if I ever get to go to a Weird Al concert, I am going ask him where he got a car to go to the doughnut shop.

Wait a minute...after Al and Zelda broke up, what happened to Nethanial and Supafly?

Well, don't most people who travel rent a car to use while they're on vacation?

He got a one way ticket to Albuquerque, so I would figure he bought one, or bought a used one.

:D
I'm simple like this, just as simple can be.

''You know, I'd never been on a real airplane before
And I gotta tell ya, it was really great
Except that I had to sit between two large Albanian women with excruciatingly severe body odor
And the little kid in back of me kept throwin' up the whole time
The flight attendants ran out of Dr. Pepper and salted peanuts
And the in-flight movie was Bio-Dome with Pauly Shore
And, oh yeah, three of the airplane engines burned out
And we went into a tailspin and crashed into a hillside
And the plane exploded in a giant fireball and everybody died
Except for me
You know why?''

i'd hate to know what a bad plane trip would be like

And he's like "Tough"
And I'm like "Give it"
And he's like "Make me"
And I'm like "'Kay"

''This guy comes up to me on the street and says he hasn't had a bit in three days
Well, I knew what he meant
But just to be funny, I took a big bite out of his jugular vein
And he's yellin' and screamin' and bleeding all over
And I'm like "Hey, come on, don'tcha get it?"
But he just keeps rolling around on the sidewalk, bleeding, and screaming
You know, just completely missing the irony of the whole situation
Man, some people just can't take a joke, you know?''

the whole song is classic though
The tsunami of immediacy will wash away the flood of grief, and reveal a layer of naive optimism underneath

That doesn't mean he couldn't buy a ticket to go back home. Which means he could still have rented a car.
