QUOTE Did you ever get a chance to find out?
How about subsequent weeks? Did it still chart, or did PH fall off the charts completely?
I got my first chance to do that today. For week ending Aug 9 it was 118. For week ending Aug 16 it was 136. No gold certification yet (although Bermuda probably will be among the first to know).

Factoring in a bump for the nickelodeon special, as well as the continued tour through September, and using the previous sales history as a guide, I'm going to guess that Poodle Hat will go Gold right around Thanksgiving. Of course, if everybody wanted to go buy another copy and speed the process up, I'm sure Al and co wouldn't mind

I certainly wouldn't mind buying another copy, but the last time I checked they were all sold out at my local Wal*Mart.
That's a good thing, right?

QUOTE Well that Nickelodeon performance should help it a bit to kids who have never heard of him to listen.
God bless the stupid, stupid children who listen to anything forced on them by Nickelodeon or MTV. About time that treatment was given to a deserving artist!

How many ALbums have been sold? Do we see Gold in the near future?

Not likely. At the current pace, we won't be selling gold until around December or January.
It should be pushing 300 K now.

Dare we hope that the sales pace for PH might pick up a little before Christmas? Since Al wasn't able to release it in time for the Arbor Day gift-giving season? :lookround:

Hopefully Amazon will decide to do a two for deal with PH and the Ultimate Video Collection, that would help.
Depending on if the DVD gets any promotion (And with PH at least getting a commercial, it should too), it should help PH too.

Al needs to get back in the Top 100, first of all. I'm sure I could find some artists up there that are much less popular than him...
So whaddya say? Wanna start peddling PH on street corners?!?!
