....but I get where they're hearing "My inner teenage drive." It DOES sound like that, despite the fact that it's gibberish.

Can we all agree that "Inactive" is just... poorly mixed? I skip it whenever I can.

I've just read this
tweet:
"I JUST realized @alyankovic is singing "better give me all your gauze, nurse." I thought gozzmers were a surgical instrument I didn't know."
That's exactly what I thougt until now

. Never bothered to look it up, as I don't know anything about surgical equipment anyway

In "Trigger Happy", I frequently mishear the line "I mistook him in the dark for a drug-crazed Nazi again" as "I mistook him in the dark for a drunk, crazed Nazi again". Note the replacement of the hyphenate with a comma.
It doesn't change the lyric much, and the context is essentially the same, but the visual is slightly different.

I searched the forum and I didn't see a topic already, I apologize if I missed something.
This topic is for any misheard lryics, but in my case, It's with Polkas. A lot of the time (but not always) The polka was not my type of music or I just hadn't heard the original.
In Polka Your Eyes Out I heard, "If you gotta problem, I'll solve it, check out the beat while the DJer solves it!" - Implying the he just acted like he could solve it but passed it off for someone else.
The second one - The Alternative Polka - I am now a huge Alanis fan, but somehow, with our local station, I didn't hear You Oughtta Know until I finally bought JLP in 2002, but loved the other songs on the radio. But, when I heard it, I heard - and still sing it this way sometimes "The Cross-eyed bear that you gave to me." And I'm like, "The guy left her AND stole her teddy?! What an

!"
Did you guys mishear anything, in polka or otherwise?
