One of the cool things about Al Radio is often during the broadcast, since they are focusing on 80s music, they play an original version of a song Al has parodied. For the first couple seconds, I'm sometimes not sure if I'm hearing the original or the parody. It's kind of like getting to experience Al the way a non-fan would.

Ooh, tapes available for trade? *bats eyes playfully* Cool! *Thinks of something she could trade*. We'll have to work someting out here. hehe! Btw, I said I wasn't feeling well in my very first post about this. *not that anyone cared*. I'm feeling much better now. I think hearing Al on the radio is part of it. I also think I ate something that didn't agree with me yesterday. I'll be more careful today. Anyway, yeah, I'd like a tape of this. Thanks for offering to do that, BTD!

[MOD Edit: All trades should go PM.]

Trade?...uh..I don't think I have anything worth trading... ...hehe...unless you'd like a Smurf TV tray or something...:P

She heard the "Hot Rocks Polka"??Wow... I think the song was "Satisfaction" but I'm not sure...It was on at Midnight on a Sunday after we came home from Six Flags...so we were a little out of it...but it was definetely Al!

I heard "Fat" around the same age, but about 10 years later...actually, I think I caught the Weird Al show when I was little, but I barely remember it, but since my parents have always been fans...we like to keep it in the family..(we like that)...:P

Fatter is an unreleased song. A parody of The Rolling Stones "Shattered." No, I didn't know that. I looked it up.

Fatter, fatter
Shake 'n Bake, fatter
Shake 'n Bake, fatter
Fatter

Corndogs, pizza, Coca Cola
Yogurt, butterscotch, granola
Look at me, I'm fatter
I'm fatter, I'm fatter

Friends all gather 'round me
My enemies surround me
Yelling "Fatso, fatso, fatso"
I've eaten at every single greasy spoon on Seventh Avenue
That's right, I'm fatter

Don't you know my weight is going up, up, up, up, up
I tell you, this turkey sure is tough
Tough, tough, tough, tough, tough, tough

They got pizza on the west side
French fries up town
Corn dogs deep fried in batter
I'm fatter

Go ahead, bite the big apple
Don't mind the calories
Pile it on my platter
I'm fatter

Pile it up, pile it high up

I love"Fatter"! I have one of those bootleg tapes with that one it. *Bootleg? Did I say bootleg?* :lookround:

Also, fyi, Devo did a cover of "Satisfaction" back in the '80's. They're kinda quirky like Al, you know? And in the "Hot Rocks Polka", "Satisfaction" is the last song, so it gets more attention. Just trying to help. :satisfied:

Yeah, more AL Radio news:

Al gives Detroit a few shout-outs:

Al Yankovic here. LIVE from the Rock and Roll Capital of the World, DE-troit, Michigan. Courtesy of my friends at 106.7.
"Weird Al" Yankovic, here, saluting the hard-working people of Detroit this weekend, saying you can go ahead and take Tuesday off, too. Just tell your bosses that AL Radio said it was ok.

These are close approximations of what Al said. If I hear either comment again, I'll correct as needed.

Lovin' the DE-troit shout-outs!
