At one point, I owned a pair of Al's glasses (I believe they were the ones Al is wearing on the BHD front/back cover, but Marty "Torsoboy" Lick could never validate this as fact) and an autographed Placebo EP. Unfortunately, I had to sell them due to financial woes, but I sold them to Dave Rossi (is he a member here?), so they found a good home. I still have Al's first LP signed by all the band members, made out to me, and a Capitol Records 45 record sleeve signed by Al. It reads: "To Tuck - My greatest friend in the whole STINKING world! - "Weird Al" Yankovic"

No matter how desperate I get, I will never sell those.

That's great that you still have those signed items. They really are priceless, aren't they? It's too bad that you had to sell those other items, but you couldn't have sold them to a better person. Dave is indeed a member here. In fact, he's an administrator.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Oh, great! Yeah, I felt the same way about selling the items to him. He was also a fellow attendee at Alcon 2000, where I picked up the Glasses at the auction, as well as the Placebo EP. Of course, I made a recording of the EP before I sold it, so I can still listen to those songs at any point if I feel like it. I don't think there's anyone else I would've rather sold them to, except maybe Amanda or Luke Ski.

I really don't feel like I could sell the autographed records even if I wanted to, because they are both made out to me. Who would buy autographed records made out to someone else?

[EDIT]: I just grabbed a snap of my Capitol Records 45 sleeve, for any who'd be interested in seeing it. It is interesting to note the date stamped on it. The 27th. :bigups:

Hey Tuck -- I've still got the glasses. I'm 99.9927% sure they are the glasses worn on the BHD cover (as well as other covers). If I'm not mistaken, they were the "1984 glasses" which means Al wore them from about 1984 through 1996 when he switched to the frameless "Amish Paradise" glasses (which I also have).

I don't remember you selling me the Placebo EP, but if you did, I must have resold it because I only have my one unsigned original copy. If I did sell it though, it would have been to raise money for www.weirdalstar.com so you can know that it went to a good home for a good cause.

Hey Dave! I was fairly certain they were the BHD cover glasses myself. I couldn't think of a better cause to sell the Placebo EP for. Great stuff. :D

Tuck, that signed 45 sleeve is cool! I love what Al wrote! hehe! Maybe if I meet him again, I'll have him sign one of the two "I Think I'm a Clone Now" 45's that were part of my third place prizes from The Gong Show. It was so amazing that he was sitting in the front row for that!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!
