Esa has recoded an album with Placido Domingo
who has sang "time after time" live and recorded
Cyndi Lauper also sang a version of time after time
as well as girls just wana have fun, which became Girls just wanna have lunch by Weird Al Yankovic.

nicole sullivan was in monster's inc. with billy crystal
billy crystal was one of the 3 hosts of comic relief.

The Smothers Brothers performed at a Harry Chapin tribute concert, and Bruce Springsteen performed at that same concert (the soundtrack to that concert contains songs by both artists). Bruce Springsteen's usual backing band includes Clarence Clemons, who appeared on the Weird Al Show.
