Johnny Knoxville was already done, and that one stumped almost everyone.

richard branson *(president of virgin worldwide, and star of the reality show the rebel billionaire)*

and here's a quick path for johnny knoxville:

johnny knoxville was in men in black 2 with will smith.
will smith was in independence day with jeff goldblum.
jeff goldblum was in jurassic park.
al made a song called jurassic park.

Would you accept this one:

Richard Branson is president of Virgin Worldwide, which includes Virgin Records. Janet Jackson is on the Virgin Records label. "Polka Your Eyes Out" and "Polka Party!" both include songs by Janet Jackson.

yes, i'll accept it, and i also would have accepted this:

richard branson is on the tv show the rebel billionaire.
the theme song for the show is the paul mccartney song live and let die.
al parodied that song and turned it into chicken pot pie.

warren zevon did the song disorder in the house, which bruce springsteen also played on.
bruce springsteen was in the e street band with max weinberg.
max weinberg heads conan o brien's late night band, with jimmy vivino on guitar.
jimmy vivino is in a beatles tribute band with david letterman's bands bassist will lee.
will played onstage with paul mccartney during the concert for new york.
al parodied paul's song live and let die and turned it into chicken pot pie.

*(see? i could've done the obvious link through clarence clemmons, but figured i'd give a less obvious path)*

Rod Stewart and Mark Knopfler played together on Stewart's album HUMAN. Mark Knopfler played on Weird Al's "Money for Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies."

Al Stewart.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I may have found a connection for Al Stewart, but I don't know if it would count. OE, would you accept this one:

The Al Stewart song "Year of the Cat" appears on Dick Clark's All-Time Hits, Vol. 4. Dick Clark produced the Weird Al Show.
