Really? I mean, I agree that the video is a little graphic, but to say that only people 18 and older should view it really doesn't seem necessary. It's cartoonish and a joke. It's really not very violent at all.

I've seen worse on the Simpsons...without the graphic content warning, even.

I mean they've voted it like that, so only over 18s an view it.
Alright, but I'm over 18 and am logged in, but still can't see it. Don't you have a link?

It appears to have moved. I'll try and find it.
Edit- Nope, it's gone.

Chiming in on the debate from a couple pages back now that I finally have the album...
I like WSD. First listen, I was thinking "it's okay", I mean, not breaking new ground or anything, just 'ok'. Until it got to the weasel-squooshing noises. My son started laughing his HEAD off.
I don't like the video. It's too 'obvious' -- just animated out the actions from the lyrics. I'd rather use my imagination. And as others have said, it's rather gross in terms of the realism of animal abuse.
Now my take on the song, though, is that this is sorta the point. It's over the top in its ridiculous gratuitous violence towards animals. Then there's the line "it's tradition, that makes it okay".
So I think it's a commentary on all the stupid things we do just because we've "always done it that way". To the degree that we even come to believe that some stupid things are actually fabulous and fun just because they're tradition and we've always done it like that.
I wonder if it's even just a veiled stab at hunting... taking thrill and enjoyment in killing defenseless animals for sport. Al is a vegetarian, after all.

What sort of things to do we do as tradition that are comparable to stomping weasels? Or even on a more serious note, what holiday traditions do we partake in that aren't that fun anymore? I'm just curious what people think; I don't mean anyone's opinion is wrong.

From what I've learned from TV, Thanksgiving is never fun.

What!? Thanksgiving is just eating. And, well, more eating, then watching football, and then falling asleep on the couch. That is the typical stereotype Thanksgiving, and honestly, that's pretty much how it goes for my family. Thanksgiving's alright in my book.

I think Graeme was referring to the inevitable family squabbles.
Oh, and the running out of cranberry sauce part.
