Just heard Polkarama, and I'm with most of you - it works better than Angry White Boy Polka, but it feels a little rote and the ending is weak. Still, I like it overall, especially the Coldplay>Modest Mouse>Gorillaz section.

You know, Al has said that he's afraid that fans would riot if he did an album without a polka, but much as I like them, I wouldn't mind if he gave it a rest next time.

I gotta say, the polka is always one of my favorites off any new ALbum. As long as Al can keep the quality up I say keep 'em coming.

i personally think this one is of quality, and i honestly doubt he will not do a polka on ALbum 13.

I love it, my only complaint really is that it is too short! 'What, it's over already?'

First of all, I am in love with this polka, as I had predicted. On the other handl, I'm a bit disappointed that "Take Me Out" and "Feel Good, Inc." got like 10 sec. each and that Golddigger song got over a minute. Lame. On the other other hand, I love Speed Of Sound turning into Float On(which I had never heard before) turning into FGI(which, as I said before, should have been longer). On the other other other hand, I wish Dontcha and Candyshop weren't in it at all. As I said, I'm not a fan of Golddigger, but it's not as much of a problem as those 2. It should just be shortened. On my 4th and final hand, I loved hearing the songs I knew and loved discovering Pon De Replay and Float On. Summary: Best. Polka. Ever.

I like the Don't Cha part and imo Candy Shop is one of the best parts :o

the only part i somewhat agree with the ditractors on is the ending being a bit akward

The last song in the medleys usually have a bigger part than most of the other songs, and fittingly so. Look at "The Alternative Polka." That song gave "Basket Case" quite a bit of time as well. Besides, "Gold Digger" is arguably the biggest hit out of the songs on the polka, so it makes sense for it to have a larger part than others.

I guess i'm still a bit out of current popular culture, cuz I've never heard of Gold Digger. And concerning Don't Cha and Candyshop, I just don't like songs with bad or suggestive themes.

well, i don't think anyone will take this too seriously from AL. while they themes are very suggestive, they were popular songs, and they will sell him some ALbums, but i don't think he will grab a PA label.

wouldn't that be funny! :P
