Yes there is ... it's kinda old, but it seemed kind of popular during it's run ...

I tried searching but couldn't find anything. I would like to know how to find the instrumental mixes of SOL (with on-screen lyrics option) on the DVD, or the reason why they don't exist. I have the 2 disc version (CD and DVD separate, NOT the Dual Disc).

This subject is sort of buried in the various topics on SOL and the international releases. But to quickly answer your question, unfortunately the alternate mixes of the songs and the on-screen lyrics are only available on the U.S. DualDisc version of the album.

Is there any discussion on ONLY the videos on the DVD, or even Al's behind the scenes bit, or is this buried in other discussions?

There's a "What's Your Favorite Animated Music Video?" poll in the Polls & Games sectin, but I think to read about the videos, you have to look in the song topics.

Behind the scenes SOL. I don't think there is a topic for each animated video. It's probably okay to discuss them in the appropriate song topic.

The posting restriction is to prevent newbies from starting multiple useless or duplicate topics. We encourage people to search for a topic or point of discussion first. The downside is sometimes newbies with important things to say that deserve their own topics get stopped too. But that's rare enough that we ask newbies with important things to say to live witht he minor inconvenience. Sorry about that. Anyway it looks like someone already created a topic, so please share your comments there.
