Of course he was around waaaaay back then. :sarcasm:
What I don't know is if that was during his solo days or Black Sabbath days?

I think I Remember Larry is atleast a partial style parody of The Monkees... or atleast the "psycho jello" sound mesh at the end of their song Pleasant Valley Sunday.
...Or maybe I just really want to link the two together (again) somehow. (Why is Airline Amy sounding a bit Monkees-ish to me now?)

Not very Monkees. For some reason, it reminds me of Tom Petty.

Thank you! Every time I say that someone always says its Guns N Roses. When it's clearly AC/DC. :sigh:

Its not uncommon in the music industry to find two songs that sound the same. When you think of how many songs have been made through histroy, its impossible for every single one sound completely different.
And if there are any Bealtes fans here, doesn't the opening guitar riff in Hardware sound like the opening to "Hey Bulldog"?
Wow! I missed that one completely (shame on me!!).

Traffic Jam - artist - Prince (This is the only one on this list that I just cannot hear. I'll admit I'm not THAT familiar with Prince, but TJ sounds very little like what I've heard of Prince so far. But everyone says it's Prince, so I included it)
I'm not so certain this really qualifies as a style parody. It strikes me as closer to a specific song parody, but it's disguised a bit. The melody and structure of the song is extremely similar to "Let's Go Crazy" -- but it just doesn't really
sound like Prince, nor does it sound (to my ears, at least) like Al is really
trying to make it sound like Prince.
Interestingly enough, Prince has made a habit of doing his own sort of parodies over the years. Well, they aren't really parodies -- they're more like a case of Prince paying homage to other songs, or of him saying "I can do that, but better." Compare his "Cream" with "Bang a Gong (Get It On)" by T-Rex, for example.
