I've just listened to DIMYP a few times in a row, just to get a better feel for it and what Al might do to it.
There's not much here to work with. The song only has two actual verses, and repeats the chorus four times verbatim to fill up most of the running time. This is definitely not ideal parody fodder by any stretch. I can't wait to see what Al does with it.

Silly predictions for "Do I Make You Proud?" parody:
"Am I disembowled?"
"Am I unibrowed?"
"You don't make me proud"
"Do I bake too loud?"
"Am I selling out?"
"Did I gross you out?"
"Can you hear me now?" (Making fun of completely overused phrases.)

Yeah, the chorus is repeated quite a bit, but Al can always change his chorus up a lot to fit in more comedy goodness.

Wow! All this speculation and we never guessed Taylor Hicks! He probably won't do Takin' it to the Streets because that wasn't a real record or so, never on an album.
Wait, now think of this this way: I have no idea of who ever won Pop Idol, although I did like the Hobbit who won World Idol. Was he Norway?

I think I may have a way of finding out if he will be parodying 'Takin' it to the Streets'.
My girlfriend is Michael McDonald's(wrote taking it to the streets) neice and I go over to his house all the time... in fact I was there 2 days ago, so I could ask him if all has gotten his premission... that is if he would tell me
