Re: NOW That's What I Call Polka!
The polka is just going on like any other polka when there's an explosion sound effect and thus begins Wrecking Ball. That's my prediction.
Also for smurf's sake, if there's no Katy Perry I'll stab someone.

I'm pretty sure there will be since Katy has been all over the Billboard charts the last few years.

There was a pop song called "Stereo Love" that featured an accordion. If that's not included, I will be sorely disappointed.

I don't know that song, but wouldn't it be a little redundant to turn that into a polka song if it already has accordion in it?tomatochives wrote:There was a pop song called "Stereo Love" that featured an accordion. If that's not included, I will be sorely disappointed.

I'm saying that Al could open with the riff from that song (with a techno backbeat), then launch into a real polka instrumental.Bruce the Duck wrote:I don't know that song, but wouldn't it be a little redundant to turn that into a polka song if it already has accordion in it?

Yeah, maybe. It's been a while since he did a false start like that, so maybe it's something he could go back to. I'm still hoping for a Harlem Shake intro personally.

I wonder if he'll cover Harlem Shake since is was a week-long sensation rather than something people will remember for a while.

It was a little longer than a week, and yeah, I think it was a memorable enough thing to include in the medley. It might even just be used as an instrumental transition between songs, like Tom's Diner was used in Polka Your Eyes Out.Yup. wrote:I wonder if he'll cover Harlem Shake since is was a week-long sensation rather than something people will remember for a while.

It seems so apparent to me that if there's a false start to this polka it would be Thrift Shop. I can just hear the way it'd open with that sample and then switch into a polka.

Re: NOW That's What I Call Polka!
I though Harlem Shake would be good false start. I mean it is a song where most people only know the first 20 seconds or so anyways.
