Any suggestions for what I should get embossed on the front of the journal? We could just go with "Happy Birthday Al", or "Happy 48th Birthday", or something more creative, of anyone has any ideas?

I think "Happy Birthday" would work, with "October 23, 2007" embossed underneath that. I think an "intro page" like in the 1000th show book, would be nice to so he knows you organized it and where the messages are from.
I decided for my picture that I'm going to get a piece of posterboard, decorate it with "Happy Birthday, Al!", drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and take a picture of myself in my "concert gear" with the mountains behind me. I just wish the leaves were going to have their "fall colors" because it would make for an even nicer photo. I just hope I can set up my digital camera to get a decent "self-portrait" since I can't think of anyone to drag up there with me to take the picture!

AHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm running out of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO?????????????? Im working on a Fibbanochi series rectangle for school. I could import pics of him in the background.... Or I could draw a caracature or both or.... a nice REAL lookind drawing or......
I asked my dad this and he said "Send him a spatula" as if it where the most normal question in the world....

I agree with Ambra of what to put. Not that Al sees himself as old, but I think after a while, when you see your age, you don't feel as great about it as you did at my age. 14 in 13 days!
Do you want just what we want to say to Al or the whole design too? I have a program that I used for great designs on the 1,000 show book, but I mailed that. The program is needed for you to access the file, I believe, so I'm not sure how that will work and while sending a letter to someone up a bit north from my house was easy, a letter all the way to Australia might be hard...

What was the program? If you want to design a whole A4 page to go in the book, then go for it. I might also try to come up with a design for an intro page like Ambra suggested, but my design skills are pretty poor

I think I'll probably design a whole page if thats OK, just two quetions.... Can I just Email it, that have you print it, I dont think I could mail it in time AND What does A4 mean Im stupid!!!!!!!!
Anyway, Here is an idea I came up with its a VERY rough design for something to put on my page ... Sugjetions anybody????? (Its a tofutwikie weiner sandwich w/ candels on the table BTW) Here It IS!!!!!!
