Yes.
And even that was another demand from his record label.

When I was 10, I also thought "I Want a New Duck" was HILARIOUS and "Dare to Be Stupid" wasn't funny. I have since switched my opinions.
I still think the video to "Living With a Hernia" is hilarious though.

He knows exactly what hes talking about here. There is no filler on any of his albums, especially Dare To Be Stupid. Polka Party! also didn't seem rushed to me, its well produced and well polished. The accordion and guitar sound as good as they wanted them too, they just didn't hit their parody quota! Personally I couldn't care at all about parodies when all these awesome originals are taking up the other half of the album.

I've always preferred the parodies, though, probably because I'm more of a pop culture fanatic than a musical fanatic. When Al doesn't hit his parody quota, I just see no reason to buy his album, as does a lot of the public.

Don't get me wrong. I love DTBS and PP (in fact, DTBS was my first CD!), but they aren't his strongest albums across the board.

No, they usually get better and better, for sure. I guess being only into hard rock and metal I'll always just love the 80's and 90's stuff so much more.

I'm with you there. I don't really like hip-hop and rap and stuff. I love his rock parodies to death.

It's all really about the same for me. Hip hop can be extremely fun to listen to if you let it be.
