Unless I'm mistaken, the song Bermuda said had skipped the band demo stage was an original. It's my understanding that the parodies usually aren't demoed.

Not to mention the song is actually called "When Im Gone" and is actually over 80 years old, which would by far make it the oldest song Al has ever parodied

I had a thought, in spoilers because it refers to a partial lyric posted by Good Enough For Now.
Spoiler:
Good Enough For Now said that MF has the second song with a line that starts with “No ‘X’ in…" I’m wondering if that’s in this song, in place of the line “No post code envy.” In particular, I’m thinking that maybe Al is going the tin foil hat/alien/conspiracy theory route, and this is a reference to the X-Files. Kind of a stretch, I know.

My theory about that line in particular is that
Spoiler:
it's part of "Word Crimes", because he could say "no 'x' in 'espresso'", since that's a word-related mistake that people make all the time/
But I have no idea, really.

That kind of flows with the song's lyrics too.
Spoiler:
You're far from plastic

I agree.
Spoiler:
My first thought was the word "accept," which is often confused with the word "except."

Maybe it's
Spoiler:
"No X in 'ask you.'" The "ax" pronunciation is a pretty commonly cited "word crime" (even though both forms have existed in the English language since the eighth century, "ax" being the preferred form of both Geoffrey Chaucer and Alfred the Great). :P

Spoiler:
Oh yes! I hope that's it! I hate when people say "aks" instead of "ask!"

It could also be
Spoiler:
Asterisk. People mess that one up all the time.

I just had a thought. What if... Foil was a song about First, Outer, Inner, Last --as in the order of operations, when solving an algebraic equation? -Y'know, sort of a nod to They Might Be Giants, but in a parody?
