Al actually destroys fan letters containing parody ideas?

i guess he does it so nobody can claim he used an idea they sent him, or something.....

He says his assistants burn them. I don't think that's true, but they might shred them or something. Whatever happens, Al never gets to read them.

Ok, I looked at that "Sue All the World" video...It was bleeping stupid! If it is true that Al is doing the exact same thing, then maybe it is time for him to call it quits. I want a new Al-bum as much as anyone else in here, but seriously there hasn't been any incredibly memorable music made in the last 3 years worth parodying. I just hope the rest of the new Al-bum is funny...

Al has way more class than that. Show some faith!
He didn't do any parodies of or about Britney Spears, marijuana, Bill Clinton/terrorists/Afghanistan, or any such silly thing that isn't funny anymore because it's been WAY overdone. I think we can trust him to either not do a parody about Napster/whatever or to make an EXTREMELY AWESOME one.

DOOM!

I've never worried about whether or not a new ALbum was going to disappoint. There just isn't any history for me being disappointed up to this point, so why start worrying now?

While there maybe hasn't been as much specific material to work with lately, there are some groups that Al could visit for a parody, such as Green Day. The Gangsta Hip-Hop, Pop-Country, and the soon-to-be comeback albums of some long retired and forgotten artists (see Paula Abdul) could also provide some cannon fodder.

Keep yer chin up :W

I'm not worried about the album being a disappointment at all. Three years later, I still rank PH as the best Al-bum. So, he's getting better, not worse. What bothers me is two things - 1) There is probable evidence of Al taking someone else's idea for a parody (albeit Al's will be infinitely better and classier) and 2) This could cause some serious bad press for Al.

BTW, the irony of this all is very funny though. The song is supposedly called "Don't Steal This Song." Get it?

Have more faith in the Good Al. He's never disappointed us before. I personally am not worried about the lack of memorable music. I think Green Day would be a fine target, as would Kelly Clarkson. Her album is close to being quadruple platinum. That's probably pretty memorable. I remember wondering who in the world Al was going to parody for PH, but I was pleasantly surprised. Al always manages to do a better job than anyone could even imagine. I'm sure this album will be fantastic.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

maybe the "artists" represent a combination/compilation of those who have rejected requests to be parodied by Al or have been outspoken against music downloads. Also "Sue" is a girl's name as well as a legal term??
Can't understand a thing they're talkin' aboot...

I haven't watched the video, but how can we be 100% sure that all this info is true? If the video is as bad as everyone says, maybe all the info we've gotten so far is false.

Another thing I remembered...when Al was on "Attack of the Show" he had an animator with him, right? Is he going to have something to do with any of these videos?
