I don't know, I mean it's not likely but it could work. Sort of a song in the style of Tom Lehrer ?

I'm still a geek on the inside, that's the important thing.

Re: Foil
I disagree. I feel like the breakdown of the song would be ripe for an elaborate math equation. On the other hand, the literal foil thing sounds pretty terrible to me. Unless he's going for so-bad-its-good or something.Skippy wrote:It's been mentioned. As a joke, I hope, because that sounds really terrible.Mad Genius wrote:I just had a thought. What if... Now I'm just imagining Al singing a song exclusively about tin foil in his Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch voice. It sounds hilarious.Weird Alan wrote:Unless he's going for so-bad-its-good or something.

Maybe, but how is that funny?Weird Alan wrote: I disagree. I feel like the breakdown of the song would be ripe for an elaborate math equation.
Me too. I don't think it's a song just about foil.On the other hand, the literal foil thing sounds pretty terrible to me. Unless he's going for so-bad-its-good or something.

In the same way a huge list of stuff in a hardware store is funny.Skippy wrote:Maybe, but how is that funny?Weird Alan wrote: I disagree. I feel like the breakdown of the song would be ripe for an elaborate math equation.
But I don't think the FOIL thing is likely, for the main reason that it would have to be in all caps. (and it's a dumb idea)

I don't laugh out loud often. That verse and "Bob" are probably the only two really "laugh out loud" moments I've had on a first listen of an album.Skippy wrote:My point exactly. My mind is blown that someone can love Hardware Store, but not love the long list of items. I thought that was the entire reason why that song was great. To each his own.

Re: Foil
You missed my point. I said that part isn't funny. It's great for other reasons, but it's not funny (except on first listen when you don't know it's coming I guess.) also I said I like the song, not that I love it. There's a big difference (to me anyway.)darkhornet wrote:My mind is blown that someone can love Hardware Store, but not love the long list of items.
