Sure seems like it! Also, we have seen a few pictures that suggest there will indeed be a video for Lame Claim To Fame with Al and Bermuda dressed to look like the band members of SCOTS, so you're in luck!

Really? OMG! I'm going to die! But there are three members in SCOTS: Rick Miller, Dave Hartman, and Mary Huff. Rick Miller is the lead singer and guitarist, so I guess that will be Weird Al. And Dave is the drummer (I love him) so is that who Bermuda is? Who will play Mary Huff? She's the bass guitarist.

Al's bass player is Steve Jay. I still have my fingers crossed that we'll get to see him in drag as Mary Huff.

Hey Sharri, besides "Camel Walk" what other SCOTS songs do you recognize in "Lame Claim to Fame?"

Hi Skippy! It sounds a lot like Camel Walk and also Voodoo Cadillac and Dirt Track Date. You hear the cowbell in Lame Claim to Fame from Voodoo Cadillac and Dirt Track Date. That's neat how he combined different songs to make his own. I can't wait to see the video. Does anyone know when it will come out? I saw the other ones on his website.

Lame Claim to Fame is tomorrow according to the SCOTS facebook page. They have a sneak peek picture of Al and Bermuda up too!

Thanks! I'm kind of obsessed with figuring out where the style parodies come from, and I figured a SCOTS fan would know. There's quite a few of us here who starting listening to them when we figured out Al was probably doing a SCOTS style song on this album, and I have to say it was a pleasant discovery. Fun, fun band.

OMG! I was just coming here to tell y'all that. LOL!

That picture is a riot. Bermuda looks so much like Dave. Weird Al doesn't look very much like Rick though. He should have cut his hair for the video.
