No new information has been revealed, but at least it's some sort of progress.
Al seems to like to leak songs to certain people early, such as by previewing "Party at the Leper Colony" back at the OCF shows, or by singing "Since You've Been Gone" to Carlotta over the phone shortly after recording it (and then later sneaking a tape over to DrD for the show). It seems to me he wouldn't do this stuff with material he wasn't really confident with, so that's probably a good sign.
After all, it's not like he needs to create early buzz for new work, especially with DrD and his listeners. His last album only won a Grammy last year after debuting in the top twenty without a music video to promote it, so he does have some recent success to springboard off of.
At the very least, what it shows is that Al's ready and maybe even a little eager for people to hear the new songs, so that's something. Hopefully the parodies aren't too far behind.

Oh, Dr. Demento is a lucky lucky guy.thatoneguy @ Sep 10 2005, 04:20 PM wrote: Dr. Demento just said that Al let him hear a few tracks from the new CD a few days ago and "You are going to be amazed when you hear them"!

When was it exactly that PatLC was leaked last year? I want to know when we can maybe expect to find out about some of the songs on the album. Not the best of sources, I know, but it's something!
