I had one of my best friends listen to the song and his immediate response was, "So...when is Al touring?"

Haha. Usually he's been indifferent to when Al is on tour (but he loves Al's music oddly) but now he really wants to go to a show. :D

Good :D *hugs everyone*

On an unrelated thing, just for a second, I drew Al yesterday but he looks really sinister..... that always happens when I draw people... :/
Oops, I also meant to say I have the song now, yay!

I havent seen the video yet, I have dial up. But I think that part of the reason Al used Bill Plympton is because he is a fan. He knows how Bill works, and he accepted that. And Al obviously likes the video enough to have released it early. He could have had no video premiere until WaN was done, but he chose to release it. I personally like Plympton, and I never expected the lyrics and the pics to match up, it just isnt his style. And could part of your disappointment be due to the video being built up in your head for so long, that now its just kind of anti-climactic? I go through this every time we get some new Al. Except for YP, I loved that right away. But when I first heard DDTS I loved it, then when I relistened, I didnt like it as much. Now I like it a little better.

Thanks for the YouTube link. I have dial-up, so I could just pause and let it load.

The song is great....not one of my favorites, but a great song. However, the video just doesn't match up to the song. Plympton's style looks awful...not clear, and doesn't make much sense. Great song, not great video. But I love it, since it has Al's name on it.

OK, I just got to see the video, and I gotta say it was really good. I think it matched up pretty well with what the song was conveying. I just think people were looking for a video that had more of a We Are The World look to it.

Now you've done it! Now we *have* to see your drawing of "sinister Al".

(Is it the photo from Alapaloza that they use on the homepage under "catalog"? Man, that pic just creeps me out for some reason.
