World of Weird Al Yankovic

“Weird Al” Yankovic, who resurrected his recording career with a No. 1 album in July, has long resembled Jesus, and now he’s playing him in The Moving Picture Co. 1914, a 22-minute silent film directed by triple Emmy winner Mark Kirkland, who directed around 80 episodes of The Simpsons.

Here is another article about the movie, which shows a pic of Al as Jesus, playing an accordion. There is also a short video in which Al appears. Gotta love it!

Boy, I wish I still had that accordion smiley Adrian made for me.

I know the article suggested this as a possibility, but just to nip this one in the bud before anyone gets their hopes up: there are no acting awards for short films at the Oscars. The film itself could win Best Live Action Short Film, but no individual actor has a chance.

First Hitler and now Jesus. Talk about versatility.

Also he's technically playing an actor who is playing Jesus.

Well he does have the hair for playing Jesus.........I can't believe he played Hitler. O_o
